We are currently in a ‘prototype’ phase: understanding the potential level of need and support, finding out how best to target and provide assistance, figuring out how to structure and operate into ultra longer term.  Whilst we do this we are just relying on the small fund we have access to - this gives us the flexibility to try different approaches without the responsibility of giving out other peoples’ money or the complexity and obligations that come with being a charity.

Once we have worked out how best to run into ultra we plan to register as an official charity and open up to donations from individuals and organisations.
